At Simply Speech Palm Beach, our mission is to support children in reaching their full communicative potential through personalized, evidence-based speech and language therapy. We focus on including play-based techniques to create engaging and enjoyable therapy experiences tailored to their needs. By providing therapy in the child’s natural environment—whether at home, school, or daycare—we ensure that our approach is seamlessly integrated into their everyday life. Our goal is to build confidence, facilitate meaningful progress, and empower families to support their child's development.

Areas we Serve:

At Simply Speech Palm Beach, we proudly serve Palm Beach County, including Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, and Boca Raton. We offer therapy in children's natural environments—home, school, or daycare—ensuring personalized support that integrates seamlessly into their daily lives.

The benefits of our in-home and on-site therapy include:

  • Comfort and Familiarity: Children receive therapy in a setting where they feel most comfortable, which can reduce anxiety and make sessions more effective.

  • Real-Life Context: Therapy takes place in the environments where children use their communication skills daily, allowing for more practical and impactful interventions.

  • Convenience for Families: Families save time and effort by not having to travel, making it easier to incorporate therapy into their busy schedules.

  • Enhanced Collaboration: Working directly within the child’s school or daycare environment allows us to collaborate with teachers and caregivers, ensuring a cohesive approach to the child’s development.

Articulation Disorders
Children with articulation disorders have difficulty pronouncing sounds correctly. This may include substituting one sound for another or leaving sounds out of words. Therapy focuses on teaching children the correct way to produce sounds and improve their clarity of speech.

Phonological Disorders
Phonological disorders involve patterns of sound errors that can affect speech intelligibility. For example, a child may consistently replace all sounds produced in the back of the mouth with those produced in the front. Therapy aims to help children understand and use the rules of sound patterns correctly.

Language Delays
Language delays refer to a child’s slower-than-expected development in understanding and using language. This can affect vocabulary, sentence structure, and overall communication skills. Therapy focuses on expanding a child’s language skills, including comprehension and expressive language.

Receptive Language Disorders
Children with receptive language disorders struggle to understand and process language. This might affect their ability to follow directions, understand questions, or comprehend stories. Therapy helps improve their understanding of spoken language and their ability to respond appropriately.

Expressive Language Disorders
Expressive language disorders impact a child’s ability to use language effectively to communicate their thoughts, needs, and ideas. Children may have trouble forming sentences, using correct grammar, or finding the right words. Therapy focuses on improving these expressive skills to enhance communication.

Social Communication Disorders
Social communication disorders affect a child’s ability to engage in effective social interactions. This can include difficulties with understanding social cues, taking turns in conversation, or maintaining eye contact. Therapy targets improving social skills, pragmatic language, and interaction strategies.

Literacy Difficulties
Literacy difficulties involve challenges with reading and writing skills, which can be closely linked to language development. Therapy supports the development of phonological awareness, decoding skills, and overall reading comprehension.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
AAC involves using tools or strategies to assist communication for children with severe speech or language impairments. Therapy may include teaching the use of communication devices, picture boards, or other aids to support and enhance a child's ability to communicate.

How do I get started?

To get started, please contact us to schedule an initial evaluation. We will discuss your concerns, review the intake process, and begin the journey towards supporting your child's communication development.

What should I expect during an evaluation?

During an evaluation, we will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your child's communication skills. This may include observation, standardized tests, and discussion with you about your child’s developmental history and current concerns. The results will help us create a tailored therapy plan if needed.

How often will my child need therapy?

The frequency of therapy sessions depends on your child's individual needs and goals. After the initial evaluation, we will recommend a schedule that is most beneficial for your child. Sessions typically range from once a week to twice a week and are approximately 30-60 minutes.

Will therapy be covered by insurance?

Currently, we do not accept insurance directly. However, you may submit a superbill to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We can provide you with the necessary documentation to facilitate this process. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your plan's reimbursement policies and any out-of-pocket costs.

How can I support my child’s progress at home?

We will provide you with strategies and activities to practice with your child between sessions. Collaboration with caregivers is key to reinforcing skills and ensuring consistent progress. We are also available for ongoing support and guidance.
